Worlds Fastest Motorcycles

Introduction:

Motorcycles have been around since the invention of the engine. Motorcycles are a type of motor vehicle which is designed to be ridden by a single driver and includes a motor, can also include a seat, and has exactly two wheels along with pedals. In the United States, motorcycles have one of several state license plates that identify their horsepower class.

Some of the top speed fastest motorcycles are as follows:

Suzuki Hayabusa

Suzuki Hayabusa The World’s Fastest Motorcycle is the Suzuki Hayabusa. The motorcycle beat the previous record of an unnamed modified turbocharged Hayabusa making 237 mph (381 km/h) set in 2010 by an unnamed fairing-less motorcycle that only managed 234 mph (377 km/h). The same year, Kawasaki Ninja H2R has managed to produce 294 horsepower. However, the Suzuki Hayabusa still goes faster at 320.49 km/h or 199.16 mph with its 1340cc engine. It has a top speed of 372.2km/h or 230.24mph with the same engine, but it’s limited to 318km/h or 198mph. The Hayabusa is also one of the most popular motorcycles in Japan.

Kawasaki Ninja H2R Kaw

The Kawasaki Ninja H2R has managed to produce a world record-breaking 294 horsepower at its disposal. It beat the modified turbocharged Suzuki Hayabusa that only managed 320hp and the sheer power alone is enough for this motorcycle to win as The World’s Fastest Motorcycle. However, it has yet to beat the record set by Suzuki Hayabusa in terms of top speed.

KTM 1290 Super Duke R

The KTM 1290 Super Duke R is more of an on-road motorcycle than off-road. It has a 1301cc engine which gives it 192 horsepower and 96ft-lb of torque. Thanks to its lightweight frame, it can reach up to 168mph with ease. However, this motorcycle would not make it The World’s Fastest Motorcycle because it is more for on-road use rather than off-road.

Ducati Panigale 1199S Tricolore Engine

Ducati Panigale 1199S Tricolore is more of a sports bike than an actual motorcycle. It has a top speed of 202mph and it’s powered by a 1285cc engine which gives it 176 horsepower and 98ft-lb of torque. This motorcycle would not make it The World’s Fastest Motorcycle because while it is more of a sports bike, there are some sports bikes out there with way more power.

BMW S1000RR

BMW says it’s the most sophisticated production motorcycle ever, boasting more than 160 innovations. The S1000RR packs a 200-horsepower inline 4-cylinder engine, an advanced aluminum frame, and other high-end components into its 647 pounds. It’ll do 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and top out at about 190 mph.

Aprilia RSV4 R APRC Factory Engine

The Aprilia RSV4 R APRC Factory is more of an all-around motorcycle than an actual sports bike. It has a top speed of 199 mph and it’s powered by a 1197cc engine which gives it 202 horsepower and 91ft-lb of torque.

Yamaha YZF R1M

Packing a modified version of the standard R1’s 998cc inline-four, the $31,499 YZF-R1M has 160 horsepower and 83 foot-pounds of torque. The extra power comes from revisions to its fuel injection and upgraded ram air system, which forces more air into the engine at higher revs. Yamaha claims that this should make it faster than other bikes in its class.
